Mixed feelings
On the ane paw, it is impressive that they got this thing to play on mobile and I dearest Civ vi. On the other, it'southward annoying that later on buying all the expansions on Steam I'thou being asked to purchase them again here. $20 is a fair cost, but I wish they would accept credited me the expansions. Grumble, grumble.
At the moment I'k writing this, I'm also annoyed that I have been forced to stop playing a game I actually liked because of a glitch preventing me from recruiting a groovy prophet and ending my turn. I had a similar problem in one case with affairs which turned out to be bypassed by going back a few turns and initiative the aforementioned diplomacy option myself instead of letting them ask for it, but in this instance no matter what I do (complete with gilded, reduce my points per turn to recruit later, etc) it appear incommunicable to either recruit the prophet or pass entirely. I really liked this map so I may simply load back to an early plow and not build a holy site. I approximate this is a known issues they plan to set in the side by side patch. Sigh.
On the whole, I practise recommend Civ half-dozen. If you tin can, play it on PC. If yous can't or desire it to get then become this and the expansions. Nubia is OP for early on domination btw. Gotta love archers that move similar scouts.

Near mods keep to work similar a amuse with a little effort. ————— Hullo all, information technology appears that some folks writing reviews do not fully capeesh or empathize how the game is played... shame on you for your low ratings as they are totally unsubstantiated. This is a dandy game with swell support. It works just similar the Desktop/Laptop version but with the graphics toned down only a bit. Yeah turns can accept longer, only on a standard size map it might fifty-fifty be a bit faster than on my PC, although it is likely older than what some of you have. I've been playing on a 12.9" original iPad since it came out and the but bug I've had were with a couple of mod's. Developers, with your next update could you mayhap accept as a game option, a setting to turn on the "ui scale 1" option then I don't accept to turn on my Bluetooth keyboard for that every time? Looking forward to R&F.

Edit: I was able to finally consummate a full game without crashing. This legitimately feels similar a full port of the game. Even has the hypocritical War weariness and Gandhi the warmongering "pacifist": I love it!!!. Hopefully they will release some of the expansions from the main game in the time to come, but otherwise this is the game I was expecting when I first downloaded the app. Thank you lot to the developers for fixing the game! Go on up the adept work.
Old review:
When this game works it's amazing, just it crashes so often that information technology's more than frustrating then worthwhile. Originally I tried running a standard game. Crashes started around plow 50 at 150 I was crashing every other plow. Looked at the reviews figured I would try a smaller map my device is just 2 years old just whatever. Get to turn 250 with 3 crashes. Abrasive only playable. Now that map is is once once more crashing every couple of turns. What is the point of a game you tin can't even play properly let alone play to its full potential. I have other total AAA games ported over that play fine. Appears I'll have to stick with them and maybe one day they will fix the this app to work properly until then maybe attempt to convince Apple to requite your money back.
Side note 3-4 infinitesimal wait times to load a map are ridiculous particularly with the crashing.
